Handwriting

Grip, posture and letters that stay legible

The physical side of writing — how to hold a pencil, sit, and form letters consistently, so writing stops being tiring and starts being readable.

What your child learns

  1. Correct pencil grip and seating
  2. Letter formation, stroke by stroke
  3. Consistent size, slant and spacing
  4. Writing at speed without losing shape

How we teach it

Untidy handwriting is usually a grip or posture problem, not a care problem. We start with the hand, not the page — strengthening exercises, correct hold, and a stable seat. Letters are then built from a small set of strokes, which is why the improvement carries across to every letter.

We assess every child before we place them, so they start in the right place.

What changes

  • Writes legibly without extra effort
  • Finishes written work in class time
  • Complains less about hand fatigue

Every child progresses at their own pace. We track it and tell you honestly how it is going.
